Right before Thanksgiving, Aaliyah was featured in a news story by Channel 8 regarding a traffic concern near her school.  She and a classmate identified an unsafe crossing area, made posters and signs for the school's intersection telling cars to slow down and and be cautious about pedestrians around the school.  They planted the signs around the bus story and other areas of the street.  The media attention has the community talking!  Great job Aaliyah!  Here is the Channel 8 News Story Link:

On December 1, 2022, Sharye was elected as Secretary of the Freshman Class at Career High School.  
"I feel a new sense of leadership and very proud and excited to show this school all I can do.  I am just ready to change Career for the better," she said.

Tiyana, Cooperative High School for the Arts Senior and Dance Honor Society Member, has received her first college acceptance.

She has been accepted to Southern Connecticut State University and Central Connecticut State University.  Congrats to Tiyana and all of our high school upcoming grads!

​Gillian our, Administrative Assistant, has already received three college acceptances!  She has been accepted to University of Bridgeport, WCSU and SCSU!  Congratulations!  This June, she will be a graduate of the Metropolitan Business Academy in New Haven.

We will keep everyone updated with more college acceptance news for our mentors!

Coree, our Head Vocal Coach, has been accepted to Arkansas Baptist College, The University of New Haven, Albertus Magnus College, and Quinnipiac University!

​My Daedream resolution for the New Year is that I really push myself to learn all the songs for the show & that I learn to stop procrastinating.  Another resolution that I have is to make sure that I stay on top of the cast members when it comes to whether or not they know the songs & that they are learning them and remembering them. 

My Daedream resolution is to get in good health, shape, and also continue to teach and motivate others to be the best that they can ever be, as performers and academic students.

My New Year's Resolution is to work much harder on the show!

I would like to see each cast member make an improvement where they need it most, whether it be academically, with our steps/choreography, or with better communication.

My Daedream resolution is to become an even better leader and teacher for the kids and have better time management.
