Another AMAZING thing from our CAST

Snigtha Mohanraj from New Haven, named Top Young Inventor and State Merit Winner in the Nation’s Premiere Middle School Science Competition.

Daedream "veteran" of four years, Snigtha M., has reached new heights with her science knowledge.   Discovery Education and 3M have announced that Snigtha Mohanraj, a fifth grade student at Mauro-Sheridan Science, Technology and Communications School in New Haven City School District, has been named the state merit winner for Connecticut in the Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge.

Snigtha rose to the top of the competition out of hundreds of submissions due to her passion for science, spirit of innovation, ingenuity and effective communication skills demonstrated in her entry video. The budding young scientist has been recognized for her “PODA: Prescription Over-Dose Alert” project. PODA provides better ways for individuals to identify and prevent prescription drug misuse by sending a technology to alert loved ones by SMS messaging when prescription drugs are misused.

We are very proud of Snigtha, who is a dancer and actress in the Daedream Theater Arts Company!
