Fees
Every mentor and intern costs us approximately $150-200, not including the PAY you receive if any. You are required to pay $75 for membership this year. This fee covers the expenses we have in running this program, including costumes, incentives, rewards, and special events/celebrations. EVERY mentor must provide this fee before Oct. 3, 2025. There are no extensions. Non-Youth at Work can take fees off your hours.
In-Kind Time
Your company is a non-profit organization that is more about giving than receiving. This in mind, you will have required in-kind volunteer time as well as paid hours. If you skip volunteer hours (which may include special events, classes, rehearsals, or celebrations) your regular hours will be shortened or docked. Since important behind-the-scenes team members, such as Ms. Francis, some parents, Ron, and Ben donate 100% of their time, you will donate some time.
Academic Success
•You must provide a way for us to check your grades, attendance, and punctuality at school.
•You will meet or discuss with your mentors and the CEO about any failing grades and engage in an improvement plan.
•You will receive a small congratulatory prize each marking period for honors/high honors/high honors with distinction, as long as we have the funds to support it.
•Those receiving collegiate Dean’s List status for two semesters will have a special get-together in your honor.
